What is Inkless Stretch Mark Revision?

Inkless Stretch Mark Revision (ISR) is a cosmetic procedure that works by creating small wounds in the skin that result in a channel for the customized serums to be absorbed into the skin allowing an improved absorption rate above topical application alone. As with needling, this method stimulates natural healing response. ISR is a method of treating stretch mark scars with a vitamin serum prior to, and perhaps instead of, camouflage tattooing. The vitamin serum is introduced into the skin with a rotary tattoo machine to further enhance the body’s production response. The serum combined with the needling triggers the body's natural healing response to make the stretch mark less noticeable.

Inkless Stretchmark Revision is:

  • PERMANENT

  • Non-Invasive

  • Less Expensive Than Laser

  • Works On New And Old Stretch Marks

  • All Skin Types

Most Clients See a 20-100% Improvement After Just One Treatment.

Will this procedure work on the Face?

No, this procedure is not recommended for the face, only stretchmarks on the body.

Can this work on all Skin Tones? What about tanned clients?

Yes, this procedure will work for all skin tones with certain precautions recommended for high fitzpatrick scale clients. If you are tanned it's no problem as we are not color matching!

Can this work on Deep Stretch Marks?

Yes it can really help revise both tone and texture - remember there will be cases where perfection isn't possible but the treatment will make improvements.

Will my results be permanent?

Yes. Your results will be permanent. Initial healing takes about 4 weeks with full results showing up to a year.

Does ISR work on old Stretch Marks?

Absolutely! It doesn't matter how long you've had them or how many people have told you you'd be stuck with them forever. Depending on the depth of your stretch marks, you may require several treatments. However, typical results are a 20-100% improvement with one treatment.

Does it hurt?

It all depends on your pain tolerance but most of my clients say it doesn't hurt at all. No numbing cream is used during the procedure so it's pretty safe to say it's painless.

Am I a candidate?

Contraindications for this treatment are: pregnancy, keloid scars, scleroderma, undergoing chemotherapy,  use of accutane or retinol , collagen vascular disease or cardiac abnormalities, a hemorrhagic disorder or haemostatic dysfunction, active bacterial or fungal infection, uncontrolled diabetes, extreme hyperpigmentation

Before you come in.

  • Refrain from using Accutane for 6-12 months

  • Do not take any anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen, Motrin or Advil for 3 days prior to treatment. These agents will interfere with the natural inflammatory process that is critical and responsible for your skin rejuvenation.

  • Avoidance of IPL/Laser procedures, unprotected sun exposure or sunburn for 2 weeks prior. We want to prevent a sun burn. We cannot work on burned, irritated skin.

  • No shaving the day of the procedure to avoid skin irritation to the area being treated. If there is dense hair present in the treatment area, closely shave the area the day before you arrive to your appointment.

  • Avoid blood thinning agents (aspirin, fish oil, Omega-3, Vitamin E) for 1 week prior.

  • Avoid caffeine 48 hours prior to the appointment.

What is the difference between ISR and Camouflage Tattooing?

Stretch mark camouflage tries to match ink to your skin tone to blend the stretch marks. The problem with this is the ink may change color over time and also your skin tone may change with light exposure. With inkless, there is no color and the serum that is placed into the dermis will help your body do what it does naturally. Your skin will produce its own natural tanning properties again and your skin tone will blend seamlessly on its own.

ISR on deep stretchmarks, 2 treatments 3 months apart. Ready for next treatment or camouflage tattooing.
